Ripple’s 2025 Impact Report contains a much bigger infrastructure story than its donation totals suggest. This deep dive examines what Ripple’s work with Water.org, Accion Opportunity Fund, Mercy Corps Ventures, DIVA, BlockBima and WËIA reveals about real-world use of Ripple Payments, RLUSD, the XRP Ledger, the XRPL EVM sidechain and Ethereum.

The evidence shows several different financial functions being rebuilt behind familiar products: institutional funding moving upstream of microloans, stablecoins entering traditional lending, satellite data triggering financial protection, blockchain-backed agricultural records feeding credit evaluation, and climate insurance helping previously rejected borrowers become financeable. The architecture is modular and multi-rail, and the end user often never touches crypto directly. Just as importantly, these deployments do not establish XRP as the common bridge asset, and several remain pilot-scale rather than proven commercial adoption.
